I mentioned in last week’s mini milestones post that Monkey had drawn a smily face for the first time and was really enjoying drawing at the moment.
This has continued and after painting smily faces on leaves he took this a step further.
One of his fave activities lately is drawing on a huge piece of paper taped to the floor. He was doing this at the weekend when he drew a fish. Then he gave it eyes and smily face. Then he gave it a tail. Then he gave it legs (lol).
It was such a proud mama moment. Lovely to see his coordination improving to the point he can draw specific things, and also lovely to see his little imagination, a fish with legs!
So here it is, for posterity, Monkey’s drawing of a fish with legs 🙂
He’ll be an artist in no time 🙂

Oh how lovely. Love it when their drawings start getting recognisable and love the imagination. That’s a great drawing of a fish with legs 🙂
Well done Monkey! We’re still very much at the scribble stage when it comes to crayons and pens!

I love it when they start drawing things that are vaguely recognisable. Loving the addition of legs to a fish too! Great imagination!
Aww, that is so cute and should be kept for prosperity! I’ve kept my boy’s first finger paintings which just look like a squiggly mess but they mean something to me. At least yours looks like a fish with legs!
Looks like he’s got a good artistic streak in him!

That’s so cute! Reminds me of little T’s drawings too. Certainly a #loudnproud moment 🙂
Ahh bless, I love it. I really like to see children’s drawing develop and love watching them grow and change, we are at the stage with Little 1 of recogniseable people and houses etc, I love her dawings, well done Monkey #minicreations
What a great fish, didn’t they have legs millions of years ago ;0) It’s so lovely that he is enjoying his new found skill and expanding it.
