I love it when my two siblings play together. Most of the time they don’t, the play alongside each other or Monkey plays while LM watches adoringly or let’s face it, gets in the way! Pulling up train tracks to chew, pulling her big brother’s hair, crashing into him in the walker. Babies and toddlers are rarely on the same page when it comes to playing. But, just occasionally, they are. Usually because Monkey decides he wants in on whatever it is that LM is up to!
That is what happened recently. LM was in a bit of a grump and to give us a moments peace (?? probably not the best word as you will see) I set her up with a good old fashioned activity. Making “music” with cake tins, wooden spoons and some jangly spoons. She loved it, and as soon as Monkey saw/her what she was up to he just had to join in!
Such a simple easy activity, that took very little involvement from me, but kept them both happy for ages! Evn if it was seriously noisy!!
Haha that’s very cool. I have done this and it worked a treat. My ears couldn’t take too much though so we’ve not done it too often 🙂
aw such lovely pictures of your babies playing together, music is a great activity for everyone to do together whatever age.

Awe! Great job Momma! Sometimes a wooden spoon and a tin can is all you need to make everybody happy…at least for a little while. Cute pictures!
Love these simple activities and clearly they did too. So nice to watch siblings play together.

I love it when they can engage with something together… it is such a joy. Nice work!!
How lovely that you found a way for them to “play” together. My little one loves making music too.
this is so sweet. We have a big box of different instruments and I love to just pop some music on, get the box out and all play and dance away. Such good fun #toddlerapprovetuesday
What a brilliant way to get them playing together! Love the photos 🙂 #letkidsbekids
What a lovely moment to capture – they look like they are having so much fun making music together. I can imagine that it was very noisy though! 🙂
