We were recently contacted by the lovely people at Suppose.com and asked if we would like to review a Disney Cars Scooter. We’ve held back on getting Monkey a scooter as, although we have seen lots of kids his age (and younger) having great fun on them, he is not the most coordinated of toddlers and so we weren’t sure how we would get on. As these kinds of toys are generally not very cheap we didn’t want to risk buying something he would not get much enjoyment out of.
Suppose.com is a great way of getting the best price for things, which is so handy with kid’s toys (especially coming up to Christmas), as they track the prices of things for you and let you know when there is a good deal to be had. The Disney Cars Scooter is currently on offer at a just Β£12.50, you can find out moreΒ here.
The Scooter arrived this week and needed some assembling (eek) though it comes with the tools you need and although the instructions are a bit on the vague side, hubs and I managed to assemble it without too much bother (or bickering ;)).
We were slightly disappointed in the quality, as the back wheels do not roll straight, and one of the wheels has a slight crack in it. This doesn’t appear to be affecting the running of the scooter but we were a little disappointed.
After a wet few days of indoor play Monkey was desperate to burn off a bit of steam with Daddy on Saturday Morning. We got the scooter out and he was so excited and immediately got on it in the living room. We took it outside for a go and he loved it.
He actually did a lot better than we thought he would and understood the logisitics of using it. The ground was still a bit wet out so with wet trainers his foot kept slipping on the plate of the scooter, which was a shame. It appears to have a non-slip area but in reality he definitely slipped a bit with his wet shoes. Not terribly or dangerously but he was definitely slipping a bit.
He really enjoyed himself, although he wasn’t getting anywhere very fast, bless him!
Rome wasn’t built in a day though and it was a great first attempt! I am looking forward to trying it out again when it is a little dryer (not sure when that will be though!) to see if he gets on a little better when his feet are less wet and slippy.
Overall it is a sweet little scooter and does the job it is intended for, though we are a little disappointed with the build quality it doesn’t really affect the performance. It is on offer for a great price and as I can be a bit tight I know I wouldn’t want to spend any more on it than the current price that Suppose.com has found.
We were sent the Disney Cars Scooter by Suppose.com for the purposes of this review, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Disney and scooting, a great combination and perfect for nipping out between the showers in winter for a blast of fresh air! Thank you for sharing on Country Kids
Thanks lovely and absolutely, nice to be able to get out when we can! xx
He will soon be whizzing around on the scooter and you will be chasing him down the street π
Haha I am sure you’re right! xx
My Little Man is obsessed with his big sister’s new scooter, and he flies about in the house with it when she’s at school, so I know we’ll have to get him one! x

Just popping back from #LetKidsBeKids π
I have a Cars 2 obsessed little boy so this would be perfect for him! Thanks for sharing.
My son loves anything to do with Disney’s Cars-we’ve bought him Cars 2 on DVD for his birthday in a couple of weeks. He’s at the stage where if he sees anything with Lightning McQueen on, he asks for it! Interestingly, he’s not terribly keen on scootering, maybe this might persuade him to give it a try π
Aww! That is so cute…..It looks like your boy is having a great time with it x
Aw what a cute little face π It’s a shame the scooter isn’t better quality however I guess at that price you can test out if he likes it before investing in a more expensive version.
Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested this week x
Aw, bless him, he did well for a first attempt on a scooter. They do take a bit of getting used to, but once mastered, he really will love it! He looks very pleased with it π
Thanks for linking #LetKidsBeKids
We have this scooter popped away for Max’s birthday. It’s a shame the quality isn’t slightly better, but I guess for a little one it does the job! Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested
