#MaternityMondays week 22

Welcome to week 22 of #MaternityMondays! Thanks so much to all you lovely bloggers who are continuing to link up very week, I am loving our little community, celebrating the joys (and sharing the challenges) of pregnancy, life with babies and motherhood in general.

It was my turn to host last week and once again we had so many fantastic posts, making it really tough to choose favourites! I think I could list all of your posts here but that may take some time so my absolute faves are as follows:

I loved Mum in a Nutshell‘s post about the importance of reading to your baby. We are big readers in our house and Monkey loves books. It was really interesting reading from her perspective how not reading to her son had had long term effects and how she wanted this to be different second time round.

There was a couple of great post about siblings, and I loved Mummy & Monkeys‘s post about half-sibling relationships. She gave her son a fantastic definition about what being a brother is about, and how there is more to it than sharing parents. Well worth a read.

I also couldn’t not mention my lovely co-host Emma at Farmer’s Wife & Mummy‘s post about the realities of introducing siblings. It may feel that I am reciprocating for Emma mentioning my post last week, but I genuinely really liked this post. It’s something we all think about when we are having a second baby and I think it’s really important (as with everything in parenting) to have realistic expectations, and Emma hit the nail on the head here.

Last week was busy, full of birthday celebrations and hard work as hubs was still poorly, meaning everthing was falling to me. (Making me a tired and grumpy Mummy if I am honest!) Hubs is now on antibiotics for sinus and chest infections and thankfully on the mend so we have had a lovely weekend with family staying. Hooray!

Now it is over to you! Please grab our badge and share the linky love by commenting on a few other blog posts, it would be lovely if we could grow a little community to share the highs and lows of motherhood and parenting.

The linky is open Mondays only from 6.30am to midnight.

Don’t forget to tweet your link using #MaternityMondays, and if you tag us in we will retweet, we are @EmmaLander2 and @BecomingaSAHM
